Could a message from a stranger spark a new piece of work? Find out in this week's creative writing exercise!

Imagine you’ve received a voice mail message from someone you don’t know. Set the timer for five minutes and create a list or mind map to generate ideas. What is the voice like? What do they say? How do you feel?

For the remaining time, use the information you have gathered to draft a poem or flash fiction story or create the first few paragraphs of a longer story.
