Read the new issue of WM this weekend!

In shops now, the September issue of Writing Magazine includes Scott Pack's mini-guide How to Perfect Your Submission

How to Perfect Your Submission is a half-hour read packed with straightforward, down-to-earth advice on getting your submission into shape by a writer and publisher who, with 20 years of industry experience, really knows what he's talking about.

In the September issue, WM explores ways of reaching new readers, and asks whether publishing needs a new model. We celebrate Mark Twain, the first modern bestseller, and look at the issues involved when Woman's Weekly, a long-term, stalwart fiction marketplace, introduced new rights agreements for writers.

Our star interview, gangland crime writer Jessie Keane, takes us on a trip to the shady side of the street to reveal how she earned the title of Queen of the Underworld.

The September issue is in shops now, or you can get in in print and digital editions here. Why not spend the weekend reading writing inspiration and advice, and see how you can apply it to your own writing? Happy reading (and happy writing!)
