This year's theme in the international competition is Where I'm From

The competition is for original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines. In the main category there are prizes of £300, £200 and £100, and local prizes of £50, £30 and £20 for poets who live, work or study in Waltham Forest. There are also young poet prizes of £50, £30 and £20 in both the main and local categories.

Any poems that reference a location in the London borough of Waltham Forest will be considered for inclusion in the prize anthology even if they aren't winners.

The entry fee in the adult category is £3 for the first submission and £1 for every submission thereafter up to six poems. There is no entry fee for young poets.

The closing date is 7 October.
