The winning poet will receive a pamphlet commission worth £2,000

The Ink Sweat and Tears/Café Writers Pamphlet Commission Competition is aimed towards producing a new work on a coherent theme.

The 2014 co-winner, Jay Bernard was shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Award 2016 for her pamphlet The Red and Yellow Nothing (pictured).

The competition is for pamphlets of not more than 32 pages, including an introduction of not more than two pages. All the poems for the pamphlet must be new work. Submit 12 pages of poetry and a 400-word proposal that outlines your approach to the pamphlet.

The prize includes £2,000 (£500 initially, £500 on receipt of the full manuscript, £1,000 after publication), 100 copies of the pamphlet and a launch at Café Writers in Norwich.

There is an entry fee of £10.

The closing date is 22 September.
