Nigella Lawson presents Anna del Conte's Guild of Food Writers Lifetime Achievement Award

Domestic goddess Nigella Lawson put in a surprise appearance at The Guild of Food Writers' event at Fishmongers' Hall in London on 2 June to present Italian food expert Anna del Conte with a Lifetime Achievement Award

'Anna’s work is informed by an unwavering dedication to getting things right. She doesn’t just want to tell you how to cook something. She wants to tell you why you should cook it that way. She has long insisted on the primacy of ingredients, and on the need to master the fundamentals of cooking. And her devotion to the authentic cooking of her native land remains undimmed even after 60 years of living in Britain,' said Nigella.
