The winner will receive a worldwide publishing contract with Chicken House and a £10,000 advance
The winner will also get literary representation by a top children's agent.
The competition is for unagented and unpublished writers who have completed a novel for children/young adults between 7 and 18. Novels may be any length between 30,000 and 80,000 words.
For the first time this year, writers can enter The Times/Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition either by post or online. Send the completed novel, a synopsis and a covering letter.
The closing date is 18 December.
