Enter poems, stories and art on the 2021 theme of 'Metamorphosis'

For the first time, Ambit's annual competition is open in three disciplines: poetry, short stories and art. This year's judges are Deborah Levy (short stories), Kim Addonizio (poems) and Michael Salu (illustration).

The winner in each category will receive £500 and publication in Ambit. There are runners-up prizes of £250 and £100.

Enter poems up to 50 lines and prose up to 1,000 words on the 'metamorphosis' theme. Illustrations shoudl be suitable for reduction to A5.

The entry fee is £6, or £4 for unwaged and students.

The closing date is 1 July.
