The winner of the competition from the British Czech & Slovak Assocation will receive £400

The 2021 iteration of the  annual writing competition from the BCSA is for original writing between 1,500 and 2,000 words, either on the links between Britain and the lands now comprising the Czech and Slovak Republics, or describing society in the Republics since 1989. The suggested theme for 2021 is the coronavirus, but the theme isn't compulsory.

The first prize is £400 and there is a second prize of £150.

Entry is free.
