The competition for stories and poems has a choice of two themes: 'portrait' and 'not forgotten'.
There is a first prize in each category of £50. The first prize winners will be published in Pennine Ink Writers' annual publication, and the first, second and third prize winners will be published on the website.
Stories may be up to 250 words and poems no longer than 25 lines.
The Pennine Ink competition has an entry fee of £3 for one entry and £5 for two.
The closing date is 7 July.
