The Fiction Desk invites international submissions of stories about the ways the buildings we live in affect our lives
To submit, send original, unpublished stories between 1,000 and 20,000 words about housing and the way it affects its occupants. Both realistic and fantastic approaches to the theme are welcomed, but all stories should involve characters who are believable and engaging.
Stories selected from this call will feature in a future Fiction Desk anthology and the writers will be paid £20 per 1,000 words.
The closing date to submit to Stories about Houses and Homes is 30 September.
