The open call for entries is for a critique of an arts event in Ireland during 2016
The winning writer will receive €500 and be published in The Visual Artists' News Sheet. They will also be invited to join the News Sheet's panel of arts writers, and to be part of the LAB's gallery programme in 2017, which includes a €300 writing commission.
To enter the Visual Arts Ireland Critical Writing Award 2016, send a 1,200-word critique of an exhibition, event, festival, public artwork or similar that has taken place in Ireland during 2016.
Entry is free. The closing date to enter is 25 November.
