Explore how the contents of a bag could be the beginning of a story in this week’s creative writing exercise
Where is the bag?
Whose bag is it?
Is it new, old, secondhand?
Decide who is looking in the bag. It is its owner? Someone who has found it?
What’s in it?

Make a checklist of each item in the bag and note how and in what way it could contribute to a story.
Then, pick one or more. Decide who is telling the story, and then write the opening of a new story where the object/objects in the bag set a train of events in motion.
