Change an existing sentence in stages in this week's creative writing exercise
Take a sentence from a book, magazine or website that you’re currently reading. Choose one that’s two lines in length.
Now, change one word in that sentence. How has it altered its meaning? Write down something related to the changed sentence.
Repeat the process until you have changed seven words in the original sentence.Then write a passage of prose in any style, using the changed sentence as either the first or the last line.
