Experiment with words that convey the sensation of moving at speed in this week’s creative writing exercise.
How many words and phrases can you come up with that express the following:
1) The physical sensation of velocity
2) How moving at speed effects how the outside world is experienced - ie, how things
appear in passing
3) The precise experiences of moving at speed underground and above ground
Once you've made notes, try writing a passage or poem with a kinetic feel. Write as fast as you can. Does writing at speed give the work a different feel?
