Think of a story set in a city in the summer season in this week’s creative writing exercise
Your story can be in any style or genre but as you plan it, consider the following:
• What role does the city play in the story?
• How does the feel of the city in summer add to the story that is being told?
• What are the particular sights, smells and sounds of the city in summer that could act as motifs in the story or give it texture?
• Are the characters native to the city? Strangers? Visitors? How does that affect the story?
