Relate the idea of harvest to your writing in this week's exercise

Spend a few moments thinking about the idea of 'harvest' and how it relates to your writing. It might be literal and you're writing about growing things. It might be metaphorical – how have the writing seeds you've planted this year grown?

For five minutes, write down all the harvest-related thoughts, words, lines and phrases that spring to mind.

Next, go through what you've written and highlight what you think works best.

How could you make these even better? Work on polishing this raw material for ten minutes.

What words have you harvested by the end of this exercise? Maybe the start of a new piece of writing?
