Expand on the seed of an idea in this week's creative writing exercise
Start with something small. Perhaps a name, or a precise location. Or a scrap of clothing. A pebble or a leaf, or a song title. You decide.
Now, start to think about how you could work from this starting point to create something bigger.
Make a chart. Work outwards from the idea and see where your thoughts take you.
For instance: Football - boots - player - childhood - first match - went with grandad - lifeong supporter - always wore cap - miss him - he taught me how much loyalty meant.
Once you taken your idea from seed to bigger picture, start writing.
