Speakers including Kay Mellor and Gwyneth Hughes will debate the issues at a special Writers Guild of Great Britain event in Leeds next Tuesday
Taking place at Holy Trinity Church at 7.30pm, the panel, which will also include Alison Hume and Alice Nutter, will look at questions including whether being a woman is a help or a hindrance to working in TV. The panel, all WGGB members, will also discuss how they have made their TV careers outside the London area.
The Television Writing: Women's Work? event is open to everyone interested in TV writing and is free for WGGB members (£8 for non-members).
