Win €1,000 in the international competition for short stories for children

 

Win €1,000 in the international competition for short stories for children

Enter short stories no longer than 1,500 words aimed at children aged 7-11. The winning author will receive €1,500 and this year there is a runner-up prize of a week's retreat at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Co. Monaghan, Ireland. The two winning stories will ber featured in The Caterpillar magazine for children. This year's judge is children's author Kelly McCaughrain, author of the award-winning Flying Tips for Flightless Birds.

Stories must be original and unpublished.

The entry fee is €12 per story.
