Writers are invited to apply for the commission, which is part of a special project to help shape the cultural narrative of Aberdeen
The project, from Aberdeen City Council, will illustrate the multi-faceted contemporary face of Aberdeen. The commissioned writer will be required to produce a number of pieces in response to photographic images.
Writers applying for the commission should have a track record of creating innovative work that responds to visual imagery. Both emerging and experienced writers are encouraged to apply. Writers should be able to work to a deadline and have a track record of producing creative writing to a set brief.
The selected writer will be paid a fee of £1,000.
The closing date for applications is 15 July.
