One published writer from the North will receive £2,000 to fund travel for writing, research and inspiration
The Julia Darling Travel Writing Fellowship is given annually by New Writing North in honour of writer Julia Darling and reflects her love of travel, enabling writers to undertake creative journeys to write and research new work. The Fellowship may be used to fund travel in the UK or abroad.
To be eligible, applicants must live in the North of England, and be novelists, poets and playwrights with at least one professionally published or produced title to their name.
To apply, send a brief description of how you would like to use the resource to advance your creative work, a brief biography and a short description of why now would be a good time to receive support.
The closing date is 1 May.
