Writers who upload their NaNoWriMo novel via Wattpad will be entered into a draw for the $2,000 prize
Online writing community Wattpad is now an official sponsor of NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, which takes place in November and asks participants to write a complete 50,000-word novel in 30 days.
NaNoWriMo executive director Grant Faulkner said: 'A significant reason why so many people become successful novelists in NaNoWriMo is because of the community of support we provide online. By partnering with Wattpad, we're adding even more social features to what's usually a solitary activity, writing.'
Wattpad will be running special blogs and forums to support NaNoWriMo participants.
