Who does the best book jackets - the UK or America? The annual competition from online literary magazine The Millions shows distinct differences in cover art styles

Judging Books By Their Covers 2013: U.S. Vs. U.K. pairs US and UK versions of recently released titles to reveal differences in aesthetics. The familiar UK edition of Hilary Mantel's Bring Up the Bodies, for instance, has the look of a thriller, whereas the US version (pictured) uses a more old-fashioned historical-fiction approach with its detail from a portrait of Anne Boleyn.
