Thrilling times on the English Riviera for murder mystery fans

The eighth annual Agatha Christie Festival starts in Torquay on Sunday

The festival starts with an Agatha Christie fete on the seafront, complete with period costume and jazz bands. Events take place up to 16 September and include lunches, launches, competitions, panel events, garden parties, cream teas and even an Agatha Christie sea swim in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance.

The official Agatha Christie Theatre Company will be performing Murder on the Nile at the Princess Theatre.
