The Script Sessions prize for script writers at The Courtyard Theatre

Four scripts will be selected and performed at the Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, with a £50 cash prize and a bottle of fizz for the overall winner

The Script Sessions are looking for original 15-minute plays on the theme of the quotation: 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' (George Santayana).

The play must also be written with the following structure: Multiple timescales – stories from different time periods, cultures, worlds, places, spaces are told in parallel.

• Write a 15 minute script for stage with a multiple timescale structure.
• Use the quote for inspiration
• Have as many characters as you like but only 4 actors are allocated per company
• It must also be a self-contained story
• Email the script to [email protected] by 5pm on Wednesday 20th February
• The selected writers will be announced on Saturday 23rd February

The winning scripts will be performed at The Courtyard Theatre in March.
