The Orwell Prize attracts record numbers of entries

In the interests of transparency, the UK's most prestigious prize for political writing has published the full list of entrants on its website

There are 263 entries for the Book Prize (213 in 2011); 140 entries for the Journalism Prize (87 in 2011), and 226 entries for the Blog Prize (205 in 2011).

The longlists will be announced on 25 March, the shortlists on 25 April and the winners on 23 May.
