The prize rewards unpublished fiction by Black and Asian women
Set up by Soroptimist International of Leeds in partnership with Peepal Tree Press and Ilkley Literature Festival, the S1 Leeds Literary Prize is for unpublished fiction, which may be either short stories or a novel.
The winner will recieve £2,000 and and Arvon course. The winning manuscript will be considered for publication by Peepal Tree Press. There is a second prize of £750 and a third prize of £250.
There is a minimum wordcount of 30,000 words. All manuscripts must be completed.
The entry fee is £18.
The closing date is 31 March.
