The competition for all genres of children's and YA fiction closes on 20 November
The shortlist judge is Julia Churchill (pictured), children's literary agent at AM Heath. The winner will receive £2,000 and the shortlist prize is Cornerstones vouchers worth £500.
To enter, send the first 3,000 words and a synopsis of an unpublished or independently published novel. Completed manuscripts may be any length, but the recommended lengths are: chapter book, 6,000-10,000 words; middle grade 40,000-60,000 words; YA 50,000-70,000 or longer for fantasy novels).
The entry fee is £22 per novel.
The Bath Children's Novel Award is open for entries up to 20 November.
