There is a first prize of £1,000 and all winners will get their stories published in print and online
The second prize in the Ink Tears Short Story Contest is £100, and six highly commended writers will each get £25. An extra prize has been added, of $250, for the best entry from a US writer.
Stories must be original and between 1,000 and 3,000 words. Entries may be either unpublished, or previously published as long as the writer holds the rights to the story.
The entry fee is £7.50.
