The annual prize from the Royal Society of Literature offers £1,000 for the best unpublished short story
The winning story will also be published in Prospect online and in the RSL Review. The winning writer will be invited to read at the Word Factory salon at Waterstones Piccadilly on 29 November.
Entries for the V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize should be between 2,000 and 4,000 words, and must be original and previously unpublished.
There is a £5 fee for entry.
The closing date is 22 June.
