Short story competition: Paul's Books

This is the first of a new series of quarterly writing competitions set up by fantasy author Paul Gaskill
The competition is for short stories in any style or genre, up to 2,000 words.
A prize of £20 will be awarded to the writer of the best story.
The competition is free to enter. Each author may submit one story only.
The closing date is 31 August.
