Entries are invited on the theme of 'someone who stands up for what they believe in'
The short story competition is being run by Vasiliki Scurfield to raise funds for charities in memory of her son Kosta, a former Royal Marine who died fighting alongside Kurdish forces opposing ISIS/Daesh in Syria.
There is a first prize of £70 and two runners up prizes of £30.
Enter stories between 1,200 and 1,500 words interpreting the theme.

The entry fee is £4 per story. The closing date to enter the Kosta's Olive Tree writing competition is 22 September.
