The competition is for stories set in, or inspired by, an historic house
The Historic House Short Story Competition ties in with the ebook publication of Catherine Gaskin's novel The Property of a Gentleman by Corazon Books. The competition is a partnership between Corazon Books and The Historic Houses Association.
The winner will get £150 and be treated to a private tour of Levens Hall in Cumbria followed by afternoon tea with the owners. In addition, the winner will get a year's Double Friends membership to the Historic Houses Assocation.
Entries must be short stories between 1,500 and 2,500 words, set in or inspired by an historic house, which may be real or fictional.
The competition is free to enter. The closing date is 26 September.
