The 2019 literary competition invites stories on the theme of 'Liberty'

Harper's Bazaar has a long tradition of publishing high quality short stories, and this year's 'Liberty' theme was inspired by the title of a story by Vita Sackville-West featured in the magazine's October 1930 edition.

The winner of the competion will receive a two-night stay at Brownber Hall in Yorkshire, and their story will be published in Harper's Bazaar.

To enter, submit original, unpublished stories up to 2,500 words. Entry is free. Readers may submit one story only.

The closing date is 15 March.
