The free-to-enter short story competition is open to writers all over the world
One winner will receive the annual Dastaan Award, which is worth PKR50,000 (approx $500). Two other winners will each receive PKR15,000 (approx $150). All winners will each get a copy of Aamer Hussein's short story collection 27 Bridges and Other Stories. The winning entries will all be published on the Desi Writers Lounge website.
Stories may be on any theme, and shoudl be no longer than 5,000 words.
The closing date for the DWL Short Story Competition 2015 is 16 August.
DWL launched in 2006 and is now an established platform and network for South Asian writers, with its own literary magazine, Papercuts.
