Three winning projects will be showcased at a BAFTA event in September. Shortlisted writers will become part of the BAFTA Rocliffe Alumni, which provides a wide range of development opportunities. As part of a partnership with London Book Fair, a writer from one of the three winning projects will be taken to MIP Junior in Cannes in October with all travel and hotel expenses paid.
The competition is for UK writers. All entries must be content for children, and may include feature films, single dramas, mini-series, sitcom, comedy-drama and animation. Works for radio, theatre, magazine game show formats are not accepted.
All submissions require an entry form, a synopsis, a treatment, a character breakdown, storylines (for series entries), an introduction and a script sample.
The deadline for submissions is 27 July.
