Adapt to Film will support professional writers or writer/directors to develop existing novels, short stories, films, biographies, blogs, non-fiction or other factual articles into market-ready screenplays.
Adapt to Film is being run by Nottingham's Broadway Cinema with support from Creative Skillset, BFI Film Forever and the National Lottery. Participants will attend three two-day residential workshops, with mentoring in-between. At the end, they will have the opportunity to pitch their project to financiers.
Applicants should have demonstrable credits in a relevant discipline (film, literature, theatre, journalism, biography). Applicants should also have basic knowledge of screenwriting.
The selected writers pay a fee of £350 for the programme. A travel bursary fund is available.
The final deadline to apply for Adapt to Film is 6 November.
