Writing Magazine is saddened to learn of the death of Terry Pratchett
Terry Pratchett was an author who truly earned the description 'well-loved' (he was our most popular ever cover star when editor Jonathan Telfer interviewed him in 2012).
In his 66 years, the Discworld author wrote more than 70 books, and latterly, was candid about the progress of the early-onset Alzheimers with which he was diagnosed in 2007. He completed his final book last summer, and died at home.
'The world has lost one of its brightest, sharpest minds. Rest in peace, Sir Terry Pratchett,' tweeted his publisher, Transworld.
We can only agree.
