J.K. Rowling's interactive website, where users can navigate the world of Harry Potter, has been in beta since launching on 31 July
It was opened to one million registered test users, and set to go live last October. However, developers soon realised that the site needed a much bigger platform before it would be able to cope with the anticipated volume of users.
'We know that the extended wait for those wishing to be part of Pottermore has been frustrating, and we’d like to thank you all for your patience so far,' said a Pottermore spokesperson on its blog.
Pottermore intends to go fully live 'in early April.'
