Fourteen male poets have been photographed in the altogether for Wild Women Press's calendar in aid of diabetes research ...
Never mind baring their souls, 14 male poets have been photographed baring an awful lot else for a calendar in aid of diabetes reseach.
The Naked Muse Calendar 2012, from Wild Women Press, is to raise money and awareness for type one diabetes. Wild Women Press co-founder, poet Victoria Bennett, has a young son who is type one diabetic.
The calendar was shot in the Lake District. Poets include Eric Gregory, Antony Dunn, Alan Buckley, Graham Eccles, Alexander Hutchinson and Max Wallis, who is shown photographed by Annabel Williams on Coleridge's opium bed. The 14 poets were photographed by 13 female photographers, and the calendar includes 14 poems contributed by female poets including Wendy Cope and Pascale Petit.
The calendar will be available for pre-order from Wild Women Press from 6 October. All proceeds will go to research into type one diabetes.
