Now in their eighth year, the Awards offer prizes for poets, publishers and illustrators
The Awards are presented by The Wordsworth Trust and the British Library with support from the Michael Marks Charitable Trust.
'The Awards have rapidly established themselves among the most significant awards in contemporary poetry,' said Wordsworth Trust director Michael McGregor (pictured). 'They are designed to raise the profile of poetry pamphlets, recognising the enormous contribution that pamphlets make to the poetry world.'
• The Michael Marks Poetry Award is for an outstanding poetry pamphlet published in the UK between July 2015 and the end of June 2016. The winner will receive £5,000 and will become the Harvard University Center for Hellenic Studies' poet in residence in Greece in July 2017.
• The Michael Marks Publishers' Award is for an outstanding UK publisher of poetry in pamphlet form based on its publishing programme between July 2015 and June 2016. The winning publisher will receive £5,000.
• The Michael Marks Illustration Award is for outstanding illustration of a poetry pamphlet published between July 2015 and June 2016. The winner will get £1,000.
The closing date to enter the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets 2016 is 26 August.
