The new prize is from the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets
The Environmental Poet of the Year Award is for a poetry portfolio of between 150 and 200 lines of poetry on environmental themes by a writer living in the UK.
The winner's portfolio will be published as a pamphlet, to be sold at Wordsworth Grasmere and The British Library. The winner will also receive £1,000 and an invitation to read at an event at Wordsworth Grasmere. The judges are Samantha Wynne-Rhydderch, Mark Avery and James Craven.
The prize is free to enter.
