Win £1,000 in both the Open and EAL categories

The international competition is open to new and established poets. There are first prizes of £1,000 and runner-up prizes of £200 in both the Open category and the English as Another Language (EAL) category. This year's judge is Jackie Kay. Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony in Oxford.

Enter original, unpublished poems up to 50 lines on any subject. All poems must have a title. Each writer may enter up to ten poems. Poems by EAL writers can be entered in either the EAL or Open category.

The entry fee is £5 for the first poem and £4 for any subsequent poems, or £4 per poem for more than three entries.

The closing date is 2 September.
