Enter poems to win prizes including ten special merit awards for runners up
The competition, which is for original unpublished poems no longer than 40 lines, will be judged by Liz Berry.
There is a first prize of £300, a second prize of £150, a third of £75 and ten merit prizes of £10. All the prizewinning poems will be published on the Nottingham Poetry Society website.
The entry fee is £3 per poem or £10 for four poems.

The closing date to enter the Nottingham Open Poetry Competition 2016 is 9 August.
