Winning poems in the Poems on the Move contest will be displayed on Guernsey buses
The Poems on the Move competition for Guernsey Literary Festival and Guernsey Arts is inviting entries of poems no longer than 14 lines. 21 winning poems will be displayed on buses, and a selection of these will also be used to create a display that will first be shown at Guernsey airport, then all over the island.
There are also cash prizes in three categories:
• Open poetry: £1,000, £500, £250
• Channel Islands poetry by writers resident in the Channel Islands: £250, £50, £30
• Young people's poetry: £250, £50 ,£30
This year's judge is Paul Muldoon.
The entry fee is £4 per poem or £10 for three. Entry in the young poet's category is free.
The closing date is 15 January.
