Poetry prize: Fool for Poetry International Chapbook Competition 2024

Win €1,000 and publication in the annual contest from Munster Literature Centre

The Fool for Poetry contest is open to new, emerging and established poets worldwide, and is inviting entries of manuscripts of collections of between 16 and 24 poems.

The first prize is €1,000 and there is a second prizes of €500. One of the winners will be a poet who has not previously published a collection. The other winner may have previously published poetry books. Both winners will have their chapbook published by Southwold Editions and receive 25 copies. They will also be offered three nights' accommodation and a reading at the Cork International Poetry Festival.

The entry fee is €25 per collection.

The closing date is 31 August.
