Poetry prize: Cambrian Mountains Poetry Competition 2023

The theme for this year's competition is 'Uplands'

The competition is for poems that illustrate a geographical, spiritual, ecological or personal experience of uplands. Poems may be entered in English or Welsh and should be no longer than 40 lines.

The prizes are: best Welsh poem, £150, £20 book token; best English poem, £150, £20 book token; best poem from a contributor resident in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Powys, £100, £10 book token.

Entrance is free for Cambrian Mountain Society members. For non-members it's £3.50 for one, £6 for two and £8 for three.

The closing date is 30 November.
