The annual single-poem contest has a first prize of £1,000
The Café Writers Open Poetry Competition is inviting entries of original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines.
There is a first prize of £1,000, and second and third prizes of £300 and £200. Five commended poets will each get £50, and there is a £100 Norfolk Prize for the best poem by a Norfolk resident not winning another prize. The sole judge is Martin Figura.
The entry fee is £4 per poem, or £10 for three and £2 per poem thereafter. The free entry of one poem is being offered to any UK resident with a household income of less than £16,000.
The closing date is 30 November.
