The annual international contest is for poetry in translation
The Stephen Spender Prize is an annual contest for poetry in translation, with an open category for adutls as well as two categories for young poets.
The open category is for English translations of poems in any language (up to 60 lines) plus a commentary in English no longer than 300 words. The prizes are £1,000, 500 and £250. The entry fee is £10 per translated poem.
The three winners' work will be published in the 2023 Stephen Spender Prize booklet and online.
The closing date is 14 July.
