Party planner Pippa picks up perfectly preposterous Penguin publishing deal
Pippa, who grabbed the attention of the great British public in her form-fitting Alexander McQueen frock during the wedding of her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, works at London events company Table Talk. She regularly contributes to The Party Times, the online newspaper of her parents' party planning firm Party Pieces.
Pippa's book was the subject of a bidding war won by Penguin imprint Michael Joseph, who are reported to have paid £400,000. They will publish it in time for Christmas 2012. It will be a guide to being the perfect hostess, and will include anecdotes and recipes as well as advice on hosting different types of event.
The book is not yet written. Pippa Middelton is said to be very keen to do publicity for it once it is published.
